Minecraft Commands and Cheats Every Player Should Know

If you have been playing Minecraft you would already have an idea about how important the Minecraft consoles and commands are. These commands can be for changing the game mode, copying an existing build, or to flat out cheat your way to glory. There are many different commands in the game and all of them vary in complexity.

Listed below are some of these commands which are a must for every player to know. There are also some commands given below which you can use to annoy your friends a little. After all, that’s what the real fun is while playing Minecraft.

The Clone Command

This command clones the selected blocks to another location. It is very helpful when you are building a city space and you want to duplicate multiple numbers of buildings to different locations. To activate this you need to input the command “/clone <x1> <y1> <z1> <x2> <y2> <z2> <x> <y> <z>” and press enter.

The Commands to Change the Difficulty

You can choose any of the four difficulty levels using the difficulty command. These include peaceful, easy, normal, and hard. To change the difficulty level you can input this command “/difficulty <difficulty>”. This means that if you want to play at the normal level of difficulty you will input “/difficulty normal”. Hence you will now be able to play the game at normal difficulty level. Likewise, you can change the difficulty level of your game as per your choice.

The Commands to Change the Game Mode

You can play the game in different modes. These modes are survival, creative, adventure, and spectator. The game mode can be changed with the command “/gamemode <mode>”.
So for example, if you want to play at creative mode, you will have to input the command “/gamemode Creative”.

Teleport

Here is the command that you’ve been waiting for. This is the one with which you can troll your friend. The command “/tp [target player] <x> <y> <z>” teleports the player targeted to a designated location. You can have a good laugh by teleporting your friend into the sky and seeing their body flail down to earth.

Change the Weather

You can even change the weather to worse or nice, whatever you want. There are three options available to you which are clear, rain, or thunder. So if you want rain, you can input the command “/weather rain” after which it will start to rain.

Give an Item or Items

There is a command “/give <player> <item> [amount]” by which an item is dropped into a player’s inventory. The amount part of the command works only for stackable items and not for items such as the diamond gear.

Kill Everything or Everyone

This command can be used to kill everyone or everything. You can kill a player or a mob. The command is a little different depending upon who you want to kill. If you want to kill a mob you will input the command “/kill @e[type=mobType]” and if you want to kill a  player, then you need to enter the command “/kill <player>”. And if you want to kill everything along with the player, you can use the command “/kill”.

You might be wondering as to where you can use these console commands. You can do this by hitting the front slash button “/”. This will bring up a small window in which you must input the above-mentioned commands and press enter to activate them.
